The short answer

Brevard County sells foreclosed houses on Wednesdays. All 35 sales in our records, dated Sep 23, 2026 to Dec 2, 2026, are Wednesday sales, and 18 of them fall in the next 60 days: Oct 28 (5), Nov 4 (1), Nov 18 (5), Dec 2 (7). The county's tax-delinquent list is much bigger, at 7,742 accounts, and it is dominated by one year: 97% of accounts carry 2025 as their latest delinquent roll year.

Up and down the Space Coast

The sales are spread along the coast rather than clustered in one town. Melbourne has 9, Cocoa 7, Titusville 6, Barefoot Bay 4 and Rockledge 3, with single sales in Merritt Island, Palm Bay and Malabar. Barefoot Bay stands out for a small number: it is a manufactured-home community in the southern part of the county, so those sales are likely manufactured homes, which changes how a buyer treats them.

The delinquent-tax picture is concentrated differently. Palm Bay (2,090), Cocoa (925), Melbourne (908), Titusville (570) lead the cities named on the tax list, and Palm Bay alone has about 27% of all accounts. 2,674 accounts have a city we could not read.

How long the unpaid bills run

Most Brevard delinquent accounts are one year behind, but 2,979 (38%) list more than one year. A small group goes back a long way: the tax collector's text for some accounts lists every roll year from 2019 through 2025. Of the 7,579 accounts with a readable mailing address, 1,290 (17%) belong to owners who live outside Florida.

What the final judgments say

The median final judgment on a Brevard sale in our records is $229,077, against a median assessed value of $190,100. In 27 of the 35 sales the judgment is larger than the assessed value. Assessed value is a tax figure and usually trails market value, so treat the comparison as a warning sign and not a verdict on equity.

Brevard offices and what they do

  • Court and sale notices: the Brevard County Clerk of the Circuit Court, in the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit, which Brevard shares with Seminole County.
  • Delinquent taxes: the Brevard County Tax Collector. Chapter 197 of the Florida Statutes sets the certificate and tax deed process.
  • Ownership and parcel number: the Brevard County Property Appraiser.

If a Brevard house has a Wednesday sale date, the cutoff to pay the judgment is the clerk's filing of the certificate of sale, not the day of the sale itself (section 45.0315). We explain what a sale before then looks like in selling before a foreclosure auction, and the all-county dates are on the foreclosure calendar.

Good Questions

Frequently asked

What day are Brevard County foreclosure sales held?
In our records all 35 Brevard County sales, dated Sep 23, 2026 to Dec 2, 2026, are on Wednesdays. Your notice of sale shows the date for your case.
How many Brevard properties are on the tax-delinquent list?
As of Oct 27, 2026 our database holds 7,742 delinquent real-estate tax accounts from the Brevard County list, and 38% of them list more than one delinquent year. This is our snapshot of the list, not the tax collector's official total.
Does a foreclosure judgment mean there is no equity left in the house?
Not necessarily. A final judgment includes the debt, interest and costs, and assessed value is a tax figure that often trails what a house would sell for. A Florida attorney or a written offer can show what is left after the payoff.
