Every Lee County sale in our records falls on a Thursday. Here is what the county's own data shows as of Oct 27, 2026.
Fire, storm, mold, hoarding, half-finished work — we buy houses in any of those conditions. Tell us about the property and we'll reach out with a fair offer.
Updated Oct 27, 2026. Data as of Oct 27, 2026; source: Lee County Clerk sale notices and Tax Collector list, collected by Howler Property Group.
Lee County's foreclosure sales run on Thursdays. Our database holds 131 Lee County sales scheduled between Jul 30, 2026 and Nov 19, 2026, and every one of them, 131 of 131, falls on a Thursday. 35 are still ahead of us in the next 60 days: Oct 29 (10), Nov 5 (12), Nov 19 (13). Separately, the Lee County Tax Collector's delinquent list is the longest of any Florida county we follow, at 19,664 accounts.
These are records in our own database. A sale appears only if we could tie it to a property and its owner of record, so the clerk's calendar can be longer, and a scheduled sale can still be postponed or cancelled.
Two places make up most of the list. 50 of the 131 sales are Cape Coral properties and 43 are in Lehigh Acres, together 71%. Fort Myers (18) and North Fort Myers (9) follow, and Estero, Bonita Springs and Saint James City have a handful each.
The sale months in our records show the same shape: July 14, August 20, September 34, October 38 and November 25, and the later months can still grow as more notices are published.
For the 131 Lee sales, the median final judgment is $316,251 and the median county-assessed value is $268,895. The judgment is bigger than the assessed value in 80 of 131 (61%). Assessed value is the property appraiser's figure for tax purposes, and it often runs below what a house would fetch, so a judgment above it does not mean the house cannot cover the debt. It does mean an owner should not assume there is room to wait.
The delinquent list holds 19,664 accounts. 17,518 (89%) have 2025 as their latest delinquent roll year, and 6,550 (33%) list more than one delinquent year. Of the 18,981 accounts with a readable mailing address, 3,976 (21%) are mailed outside Florida, mostly to NY, NJ, CA.
One in five owners on the list lives out of state, which makes a delinquent account harder to resolve from a distance. Lee County is also where Hurricane Ian made landfall in Southwest Florida in September 2022, and some owners are still dealing with storm-damaged or half-repaired houses. Our statewide table is in Florida tax-delinquent properties by county.
An owner generally has the right to pay off a foreclosure judgment until the clerk files the certificate of sale (section 45.0315). A sale that closes before then pays the lender from the proceeds. The sequence is in selling a house before a Florida foreclosure auction, and the statewide calendar is Florida foreclosure auctions, next 60 days.
We buy Lee County houses as-is for cash, including ones with a sale date, back taxes or storm damage that was never finished. Call (813) 610-6460 or use the form and a person will read it.
